The Water and Sanitation Program (WSP) of the World Bank has published a guidance note on how to support public institutions in encouraging domestic private sector participation in water supply and sanitation in small towns. This guidance note is largely based on ECA’s report on a global study on this topic. ECA conducted the field diagnostics to Bangladesh, Colombia, Philippines and Uganda, distilled the lessons learnt and developed the framework used in the guidance note.
