For the Ministry of Commerce and Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, ECA will assess the reasons for Cambodia’s high electricity costs relative to the wider SE Asian region and recommend on ways to reduce these. Cambodia is highly dependent on its garment industry for which electricity is one of the major cost components. Reducing these costs is critical to Cambodia retaining its current attractiveness to garment manufacturers and, thus, its future economic growth.
