The amended Energy Efficiency Directive of 2018 has been transposed to the Energy Community Contracting Parties with larger and more aggressive energy savings targets for 2030. ECA has been supporting the EBRD and Energy Community Secretariat to assist Contracting Parties understand their policy options and design appropriate policy response mechanisms with a focus on ensuring compliance through monitoring and verification of activity. David Williams summarised key challenges and points of policy focus at a presentation for the Energy Efficiency Coordination Group.
