Ester joined ECA in October 2017 after finishing her Master’s degree in Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science in July 2017. She holds a BSc in Economics and Business Economics from Maastricht University (NL), with specialization in International Economic Studies.

Since she joined ECA, Ester has been involved in various assignments across different sectors. Among her recent experience, Ester has contributed to the development of a policy and regulatory framework for green mini-grids in The Gambia and carried out background research plus data analysis for a number of projects in the off-grid electrification space. Other recent assignments include the development of a sustainable hydropower strategy for the Lower Mekong Basin (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Vietnam), plus the analysis of policy, institutional and regulatory incentives, as well as financial mechanisms to encourage efficient investments in wastewater treatment and reuse in Latin America.
