Will is an economist with over 7 years’ experience as both a research economist and an economic and strategy consultant. Will’s recent work has focused on decarbonising energy systems covering system planning, government strategy, and corporate strategy. He has worked on multiple projects conceptualising policy frameworks needed to deliver net zero energy systems with a particular focus on the creating a hydrogen economy. Across his career Will has provided policy advice relating to environmental issues including water management and decarbonisation and he has experience across the agriculture and energy sectors. His previous clients include large global energy companies, regulated utilities, and government organisations in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and the Pacific region.
Prior to ECA Will has worked at KPMG UK, Castalia Strategic Advisors, the OECD, and a New Zealand public research institute. He holds an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics and a BSc In Economics from the University of Otago.
