ECA has been engaged to supply a due diligence report for an investor in a proposed gas-fired IPP in Ghana. ECA will focus on the electricity tariffs necessary to make the off-taker financially creditworthy, the affordability of the resulting tariffs for residential consumers, and the likely availability and timing of natural gas to be supplied to the plant. The assignment will also consider whether the regulatory framework will allow the off-taker to charge cost-reflective electricity tariffs.
