ECA was commissioned by the Gambian Ministry of Energy and Petroleum to deliver a two week-long training course covering policies, regulations and socio- economic issues associated with the development of green mini-grids. The training is part of a larger African Development Bank funded project to provide technical assistance, to the Government of Gambia, on the development of policies and regulations for the promotion of green mini-grids, including the preparation of feasibility studies for 10 potential mini-grids in the Upper River region. Due to travel restrictions, the training course was conducted via Microsoft Teams and was attended by over 25 people from key public institutions and private sector companies active in the rural electrification space.
