ECA has been supporting the IEACCC to update a 2017 review on the the financing environment for new coal projects. The 2019 study assesses differences between Asian and Western financiers, the role of multilaterals, the involvement of public financial institutions, and the differences in financing for coal-mines and coal-fired power powerplants.
