ECA, in association with the Bureau for Industrial Cooperation, is advising the IFC on the design of a Transaction Advisory Services Facility (TASF) for the private development of mini-grids. The assignment involves identifying the binding constraints to Tanzania’s private mini-grid development, the actions already undertaken by Tanzania’s government stakeholders and development partners, and the role that the IFC’s TASF could play in addressing those constraints not currently addressed. The analysis will also identify the institutional framework necessary to support the facility’s operation.
