ECA has been asked to analyse the deficiencies in ancillary services and balancing provision in the Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) electricity system and to develop changes to grid code, market rules and charging arrangements that will be acceptable to the system operator and the distribution companies. We will conclude by development of ancillary service contracts so that the system operator can put the new regime in place. This will fulfil the remit we have under our EBRD framework contract to facilitate connections of intermittent renewables such as wind.
