Yiran Joined ECA in September 2022. She is looking to engage with projects which provide economic assessments of the potential impacts of climate change on the security of energy supply.

Yiran’s previous internship experience involved working as a summer analyst at JP Morgan’s Commercial Banking team, where she also engaged with various macroeconomic analysis and forecasting projects. Prior to that, she was an intern at the Bank of China’s Corporate Banking division.

An economist by training, Yiran holds a MPhil in Economics with distinction from the University of Cambridge and a BA(Hons) in Economics from Durham University. Her dissertation investigated the development childcare infrastructure in developing countries, and subsequently proposed new policy designs. During her Master’s, she specialised in Econometrics and Empirical Finance.
