ECA has been contracted by AguaConsult to provide advice to Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP), advisors to Conselho de Regulação de Águas (CRA), the national water and sanitation regulator of Mozambique. The assignment will strengthen CRA’s capacity to more effectively mobilise public finance into urban sanitation services in Mozambique. ECA’s role is to review CRA’s sanitation tariff model, ensuring it reflects accurately the costs of service provision, tariffs allow the financeability of effective and equitable sanitation services in Mozambique’s urban centres, and to assist in building CRA’s capacity to use the model.
