Scott is an economist who joined ECA in 2014. He specialises in the economics behind energy and natural resources, particularly gas and electricity markets, mining and renewables. Scott’s project experience has included: advising on gas pricing, market design, competition in gas pipelines, numerous econometric analyses, renewables obligations, electricity derivatives, regulating gas flaring and modelling energy markets. Scott has advised governments, regulators and private sector clients in the UK, the EU, the Balkans and across Africa.

Scott holds a BAH in Economics from Queen’s University (Canada) and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford.

Prior to joining ECA, Scott worked as an economic research assistant in both the academic and private sector spheres, and had spent extensive time working at PwC’s Toronto office.
