ECA is extending its collaboration with the Ministry of Economy in Montenegro to assist with development and design of an Energy Efficiency Obligation (EEO) scheme for the country. The work will focus on helping build the supporting tools required to operate a successful EEO in compliance with the requirement of the European Energy Efficiency Directive. The work is supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) through its West Balkan Regional Energy Efficiency Programme.
