ECA has been engaged by the Ministry of Mines and Energy in Namibia, and KfW, to develop a GET FiT renewable energy support programme for Namibia. The assignment will design a comprehensive set of tools to support the development of renewable energy generation projects in Namibia, including tariff viability gap funding, targeted technical assistance, provision of standardized contract documents, risk mitigation instruments, and renewable grid intervention support. Opportunities for the renewable energy project pipeline are focused initially on biomass and the utilisation of invasive bush.
