ECA has been appointed by the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board to assist in the review of tariffs charged by rural electrification cooperatives (Palli Bidyuit Samity). The PBS currently serve over 1.2 million customers and are essential to delivering expanded access to electricity. ECA, together with e.Gen Consultants of Bangladesh, is developing a tariff calculation methodology and accompanying model, applying this across all PBS to determine appropriate electricity tariffs.
