The objective of the Mexico Gas Flaring study is for ECA to assist Comision Nacional de Hidrocarburos (CNH) in developing a suitable regulatory framework and oversight mechanisms to minimise gas flaring and venting in Mexico. ECA will review international best practices of gas flaring and venting regulations, apply international lessons learned to the Mexican context and assess the technical and human capabilities required to implemented the proposed regulatory and oversight framework.
